We have one traditional service at 11am. Join us to experience worship through classic hymns, ancient creeds and prayers. Be renewed in the reading and hearing of the scriptures and receive direction through our sermon. The music of the pipe organ, choir, and special ensembles is part of the way we worship God. You can expect the worship service to last about an hour.
Free parking is available in our parking lot on Queen Street.
The Lord's Supper is shared during worship on the first Sunday of each month. This special invitation of God's grace is offered to all. Whether or not you are a member of our church, please feel free to join us for this holy meal.
Our church is made up of a variety of people from young to old. Many of our members have been at Monumental for a long time, while others have joined our congregation by moving to our area or feeling at home in our warm congregation. We also love to share with military families while they are living in Portsmouth.
We welcome children in our service! Our congregation believes we are more complete with the presence of children. We offer bags of paper, pencils, and books for our children and hope they find church an enjoyable place to learn and grow in their faith.
Rev. Celeste Heath joined us in the summer of 2018. Celeste is a native of Portsmouth, VA.
